Lila Zemborain
Lila Zemborain is an Argentine poet and critic who has lived in New York since 1985. She directs the Creative Writing in Spanish Program at NYU and is the author of several poetry collections: Abrete sésamo debajo del agua (1993), Usted (1998), Guardianes del secreto (2002), Malvas orquídeas del mar (2004) – translated into English as Mauve Sea-Orchids (2007) – Rasgado (2006), and the chapbooks Ardores (1989), and Pampa (2001). Sylvia Molloy
Sylvia Molloy is an Argentine novelist and critic. She holds the Albert Schweitzer Chair in the Humanities. She is the author of two novels En breve cárcel (1981) -- translated as Certificate of Absence (1989) -- and El común olvido (2002), and has also written a collection of short prose pieces, Varia imaginación (2003). Diamela Eltit
Diamela Eltit is one of Latin America’s most daring writers and is highly regarded for her avant-garde initiatives in the world of letters. Eltit began her engagement with literature in her native Chile during the years of the Pinochet dictatorship when she participated in the collective CADA, staging art actions against the dictatorship, and published her first novels, Lumpérica (1983) and Por la patria (1986), to universal acclaim. Sergio Chejfec
Sergio Chejfec is a widely published Argentine novelist, poet and essayist whose books include Lenta biografía (1990), El llamado de la especie (1997), Boca de lobo (2000), Los incompletos (2004), El punto vacilante (2005) Baroni - Un viaje, (2007) and Mis dos mundos (2008). Lina Meruane
Lina Meruane is a Chilean writer, essayist and cultural journalist. She has published a collection of short stories, Las Infantas (1998), and contributed short fiction to many publications in Spanish, English and French. Her novels include Póstuma (2000, translated into Portuguese, 2001), Cercada (2000) and Fruta Podrida (2007) which was awarded First Prize for the best unpublished novel of 2006 by the Chilean National Council for the Arts and Culture. Antonio Muñoz Molina
Antonio Muñoz Molina is one of Spain's most distinguished and prolific writers. He is the author of more than twenty books, including novels, essays, memoirs and short story collections, and a regular contributor to Spain's leading newspapers. Enrique Del Risco Arrocha
Enrique Del Risco Arrocha is a Cuban writer. He has published many collections of short stories, among them Obras encogidas (1992), Pérdida y recuperación de la inocencia (1994), Lágrimas de cocodrilo (1998), Leve Historia de Cuba (2007) and ¿Qué pensarán de nosotros en Japón? (2008) which was awarded the Fifth Premio Iberoamericano Cortes de Cádiz. He has also authored two books of essays: El Comandante ya tiene quien le escriba (Miami, 2003) and Elogio de la levedad. Vivi Tellas
Vivi Tellas has been at the cutting edge of the Argentine theater scene since 1980, first as the originator of Teatro Malo (Bad Theater) and since then as the director of a succession of innovative stage productions. Tellas has continually explored and tested the limits of theatrical practice and institutions. Her original contributions include Homenaje a Xul Solar (1989), Europera V (1995), Los fracasados del mal (1992),  and a groundbreaking interpretation in collaboration with artist Guillermo Kuitca of La casa de Bernarda Alba (2002).
